Easter Hares Hidden Here at Peplow

EASTER HARES HIDDEN HERE AT PEPLOW!

Whilst exploring the 64 acres of grounds at Peplow, Hares can be spotted running along the surrounding open fields at speeds of 40mph. With long ears and black markings on their fur, these wild animals are a stunning sight to see and will nest above ground unlike bunnies who burrow.

Having lived in Hare Cottage whilst renovations at the hall went along back in 2018, during dusk and dawn we often saw hares running across the track in front of the cottage, hence the idea to name the cottages after all the wildlife found in and around the estate.

With brown hares known to be at risk here in the UK due to changes in farming practices and human development, during the summer months we leave the summer house filled as a natural sanctuary for wildlife where the grass grows long and fills with shrubs that the wild hares thrive off.
